I actually don't have a problem with a capsule hotel. With things being as expensive as they are in Japan, I can appreciate a cheap capsule to sleep in.

hahaha small world, yeah you might be right :) it is ranked well, the only one in akihabara and also on hostelworld. Its not an experience Im that keen to repeat though, did you? Or was it the one night tick in a box for you as well?

I get the feeling that almost every Western tourist that goes to Japan and stays in a capsule hotel stays in that capsule hotel (I had 'room' 725, and I remember hating that bamboo pillow).

There is at least a foot spare on 3 sides of the bed!! Just enough to ensure that you have no escape from Mickeys early morning dance round the edge of the bed routine in a bid to convince you that life is fantastic and you really don't want to be wasting a minute of playtime now it's 6am!! What's unreasonable about that? You'll even get a free ear and facewash for no extra charge! If all that fails to excite......did I mention there's also ..................a window!!

Thanks for the comments guys, matt I'll do my best to record some more late videos for you, mum you right, there is just about a foot more space in your spare bedroom than there is in the capsules, but they don't come with a doggie 5:30am alarm clock. Luckily it costs $40 less than $40 a night though and is very handy for Tesco so I expect you'll have some guests soon :)

Well you sold the capsule hotel just as well as Grandma's rocking chair!

There wasn't even room for a 3rd nipple should you have had one!!

Luckily you have a bit more room in your Cambridge hotel although the price is not quite reasonable. ;-)
